Dr. James Pasternack, MD, has been practicing ophthalmology since 1988, bringing over three decades of expertise to his patients. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and pursued his medical education at New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Pasternack completed his residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital and further specialized in glaucoma through a Fellowship at Tufts University – New England Medical Center.
As a board-certified ophthalmologist, Dr. Pasternack holds positions as an Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut and a Clinical Instructor at Yale. He is committed to global eye health and has volunteered for numerous overseas surgical eye projects. Dr. Pasternack is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians.
Dr. Pasternack serves on the staff at The Eye Surgery Center, Hartford Hospital, Saint Francis Hospital, and The University of Connecticut, where he delivers exceptional care and utilizes his expertise to improve patient outcomes.
